Apple AirPods 2 to Arrives in First Half of 2019

Apple has supposedly been working on the next generation of AirPods for quite a long time, with rumours of a waterproof build, hands-free Siri control, and a brand-new design making rounds for rather a long time. A brand-new report now declares that Apple will introduce the upgraded AirPods in the first half of 2019. The report also includes that the upcoming AirPods will flaunt a new style and will introduce health tracking functions, further including that Apple’s part providers are now seeking to partner with other brand names as the wearable section grows.

The AirPods’ upgraded avatar, tentatively called AirPods 2 in the leak arena, has previously been reported to feature dedicated sensing units for moving biometric information. The brand-new report from DigiTimes supports the arrival of health monitoring functions on the updated AirPods, but does not mention anything specific concerning the scope of those features or the method operandi of the sensing units. More notably, the report states that the next generation AirPods are set to be launched “at some point in the very first half of 2019” with brand-new style elements.

The report, which mentions market sources for details, claims that Apple’s profits from the AirPods and the Apple Watch went up by 50 percent in 2015 on a YoY basis, acting as a demonstration of increased demand in the section. While the report does not expose any specific information about the health-focused features, Apple’s hallmark filing has shed some light on them. According to the business’s hallmark filings, the upcoming AirPods may feature “wellness sensors” for transmission of information such as heart rate, body movement, and calories burnt. Furthermore, the updated AirPods will reportedly come with some special features for mobile video gaming and will get here with a redesigned AirPods case that will also double as a wireless speaker.

The 2nd generation AirPods were presumably found on the Bluetooth SIG site back in November in 2015 with support for Bluetooth 5.0 connection, meaning an impending launch in the foreseeable future. Heart rate tracking has repeatedly been touted as one of the most exceptional features that will show up with the AirPods 2. Other notable changes that are expected to show up with the upcoming AirPods is the assistance for hands-free Siri interaction and water-resistance, however, information about the latter’s accreditation standard are not known.
